The SSAT is the required admission test for many of the best independent and parochial schools* around the world. It is administered on three levels (Elementary, Middle and Upper) and is offered monthly from October through June.

The purpose of the SSAT is to measure verbal, quantitative, and reading skills (with an emphasis on critical thinking and problem-solving), all tools that are essential for academic success. Read more about the SSAT components.

There are two formats: 1. Paper/ pencil option and

2. SAT digital (online) option
